The Design Kids, founded by the fabulous Frankie Ratford, are a group committed to providing a platform to connect students to industry in Australian design. Their Threesome initiative was hosted for the first time in Perth; following the project’s success in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
Angela Mitchell and Leah Dent from Studio Bomba collaborated with design graduate Nathan Martella and final year student Amy Farrell on this piece for a suburb-wide street exhibition featuring typographic artworks by the who’s who of design in Western Australia.
The three word works were pasted up around Northbridge from the 2nd of September 2013. The public were encouraged to check out the map, photograph and tag the images #tdkthreesomeper on Instagram to be in the running for prizes.
